The musical Kiss Me Kate, staged in December 1969 was NCP’s 50 th production and a souvenir programme was printed to mark this important landmark in the history of Nairobi City Players. The programme contained a 7-page history of NCP from 1956 up to 1969 under the heading Nairobi City Players – 50 Not Out. It is reproduced here and gives an interesting account of the highlights of NCP’s 50 productions over that 13-year period. The short historical resume is embellished with photos of various talented people that launched NCP and nurtured the Players through those formative years.
